of satisfied clients and an increase in traffic of over 140%.

Shop - Company History
The company
started life in 1972 as The Vac Centre, founded by Mick Brinklow,
selling reconditioned vacuum cleaners, spare parts and anything
else that Mick felt his customer's might need. Many of their
local customers may still remember the days when the pavement
outside was lined with boxes of vacuum bags and light bulbs.
In those
days Mick wouldn't think twice about personally delivering
a packet of vacuum bags to a customer three of four miles
out of town.
Today
the company is called the Electric Shop UK Ltd and is a thriving
multi-million pound company. The Electric Shop supply their
products all over the UK. In fact one of their best clients
lives in the Isle of Skye.
Bob Brinklow
(Mick's Son) is now Managing Director of Electric Shop concentrating
on marketing, business strategy and e-commerce management.
Mick has taken on the role of chairman and is still actively
involved in the company, currently responsible for the distribution
and smooth running of The Electric Shop's 8,000sq-ft warehouse
and delivery service.
More recently
the Electric Shop have recruited Simon Joseph from technology
pure-play e-tailer Jungle.com. Simon joins the board as operations
director and one of his initial tasks will be to ensure a
robust operational system so that Electric Shop can cope with
the increased demand for their products.
